DISCOVER THE BEST TOURS FROM THE TOP… TO THE HEART OF MONTENEGRO!

Cable Car Tours in Montenegro are created to connect this extraordinary starting point with the cultural, natural, and gastronomic heart of the country. From Lovćen’s high ridges to historic towns, from traditional villages to lakes, caves, and wineries, our tours offer access to some of Montenegro’s most meaningful destinations — all carefully selected and professionally delivered. From the moment you step out at the upper Kuk station of the Kotor Cable Car, Montenegro opens in its fullest dimension. Above the bay and beyond the coastline, this mountain plateau becomes a natural crossroads — a place from which the country’s most iconic landscapes, heritage sites, and authentic experiences are within easy reach. Guests can explore the legacy of Cetinje, the Old Royal Capital of Montenegro, a city of royal history, diplomacy, monasteries, and museums, surrounded by mountains and deeply rooted in Montenegrin identity. Just above it rises National Park Lovćen, a symbol of freedom and endurance, offering dramatic viewpoints, pristine nature, and the monumental Njegoš Mausoleum, one of the country’s most important cultural landmarks.

Nearby lies Njeguši village, famous for its centuries-old tradition of smoked prosciutto and cheese, stone houses, and warm, rural hospitality. This area represents Montenegro’s culinary heritage and slow mountain life, still preserved and lived today.
Beyond the mountains, the experience expands toward the waters of Skadar Lake National Park and the poetic landscapes of River Crnojevića, where nature, history, and traditional architecture blend into one of the country’s most recognizable scenes. For those drawn to natural wonders below the surface, Lipa Cave offers a safe and fascinating underground experience through halls and formations shaped over millions of years.
Cable car tours can also include visits to local wineries, family-run estates, and traditional households, where Montenegrin wine, food, and craftsmanship are shared directly by the people who produce them — offering a genuine connection to local life and traditions.

My 7 days tour of Montenegro was superb. I was based in a 5 star hotel in Cetinje & it was a real pleasure to come back to my suite every afternoon having seen & experienced yet more highlights of this amazing country. My guide & driver, Bobo, was able to answer all my questions so I learned a great deal about the history & culture. I really appreciated his company.

Montenegro is an underrated gem! The tour was perfect even though the weather wasn’t at all times, but Borislav, our tour escort made sure we plan our day such that we make most of the sunny days as well as enjoy the rainy ones. The tour was well organized, well paced, communication was great and we were well taken care of at every step. We’d love to visit again someday cause 8 days isn’t enough to explore this beautiful country!

The tour in Montenegro was really nice. Montours was an excellent partner from the planning stage to the very end. And our tour guide, Tihomir, was perfect! Montenegro is a lovely country and we hope to return to see more of it. We had some difficulties with the payment function on TourRadar’s website and some of the communication seemed complicated, but we managed. Thank you! Carolyn

Montenegro was a beautiful country and having a private guide was an awesome way to experience many parts of it. Bogdan was a calm and competent driver on the steep and winding roads, and shared restaurant recommendations and anecdotes about the country, as well as some laughs with us. We had the good fortune to accept an offer to switch our last two nights to Cetinje, a beautiful town that it was great to explore as it was very different from Budva, which we also very much enjoyed. There were too many beautiful parts of the tour to list and if anything, the agenda is overly ambitious, but we were able to discuss and scale back and make sure we still saw what we most wanted. The one thing I’d mention that was a surprise to us was how unbelievably crowded Kotor and the Ostrog Monastery were. All our other adventures were MUCH more relaxed.

Just returned from a seven-day private tour in Montenegro. Montours tour guide, Bobo, was very knowledgeable and justifiably proud about all aspects of his country’s of his Montenegrin culture and its history. Bobo was an excellent driver on the narrow and challenging roads, he also took great photos because “selfies” don’t do the stunning scenery justice. I had an amazing immersion in Montenegrin culture with visits to the Ostrog Monastery and the Lovcen Mountain Mausoleum; experienced breathtaking mountains, lakes and villages with centuries of history; a boat trip on the amazing Skadar Lake with all its wildlife; Beautiful secluded beaches of Sveti Stefan and all the coastal villages around Boka Bay. The Kotor old town with its fortifications going back to Venetian and Roman times was exceptional. We had exceptional experiences with local producers – tastings of wine, prosciutto, other organic products. Hotel Gradska in Cetinje was very comfortable with an exceptional room. Cetinje, the original capital of Montenegro had many palaces and museums with fascinating displays of the historical past and life in Montenegro. Montours provided excellent recommendations for restaurants in Cetinje including an amazing cake shop. Poslasticarnica Bonita and Restaurant Kole. Montours was an exceptional travel agency to deal with, and I would certainly recommend it to all my family and acquaintances to discover the hidden gem that is Montenegro.

I used Montours for my recent trip to Montenegro and was not disappointed. In fact, it was one of the best private tours I’ve ever been on and I travel a lot! Aleksander’s attention to detail for each excursion is outstanding. Since this was my first time in Montenegro, he designed an overall “Montenegrin Experience”. I visited Lipa Cave, Lovcen Mausoleum, Skadar Lake, Ostrag Monastery and did several boat tours while there. I had a wonderful wine and food experience at a local vineyard and saw the gorgeous towns of Cetinje, Budva, Kotor, Crnojevica, and Perast. Aleksander was my guide for the first three days and he is just so knowledgeable and a lot of fun to be around. The restaurants he recommended were superb and I feel I got a fantastic introduction to his wonderful country. I would use MonTours again in a heartbeat! It is a first rate travel agency.

We did two days private tour and both were excellent: they also provided us snacks + water+ ice tea + the food on both days. Our driver/guide Borislav was the best too, felt safe during high altitudes and when climbing to the Lovcen mausoleum. Our first tour included Lipa Cave, River Crnojevića / Skadar lake and Honey & Wine paths. Lipa cave was amazing. Local wine producer Vukmirovic showed wine and local liquors for us: Rosé and red wines were really good so we bought home some. The honey was also divine. Skadar lake was very gorgeous, we went to the other side of the lake and also to the usual viewpoint. Other side was closer to the lake, which made it special. Second day included Cetinje National Park, Lovćen mausoleum, Krstac, 25 serpentine road bay panorama, Budva & St. Stefan. National park was quiet and calm in April, did a short walk tour there. Lovcen mausoleum was great and I’m glad that the driver/guide waited for me when climbing the stairs up. St. Stefan was pretty and we walked there on two beaches. Met a cute cat too. Overall: excellent tours and will recommend to my colleagues too.

The tour “Around Boka Bay” was the first of our 7 day-trips that we (4 adults) could enjoy in Montenegro in June 2019, all of which were arranged by Montours after joint planning. We had not been promised too much. Even this ‘entry-level tour’ made our hearts beat faster. Great views, historical facts, professional guidance and a very personal touch have sweetened this tour. And on the remaining 6 tours, one highlight followed the next. We felt well looked after by Alexsandar and his team. Thanks again for the great places we got to know.

Alexander designed a unique, fun, and informative multi-day trip for us. Our small group of had two longer transfers into and out of Kotor, Montenegro, which Alexander handled with ease and professionalism. He also set up a day excursion to Perast where we met scientists dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the local water sources. Afterwards we enjoyed an unforgettable meal at a local mussel farm. And everything at a good price. Montours will be my first call when bringing another group to Montenegro.

Alexander at Montours put together an incredible trip for our group. Every step of the the way, their professional service and excellent communication took care of everything, which allowed us to make the most of our time in Montenegro. Everything was on-time and wonderfully hospitable. It is easy to see that they paid attention to small details that made our trip unique (the marine biology institute paired with the mussel farm for our univerisity students was spectacular). I will absolutely use Montours again to explore the rest of Montenegro. If you are looking for a tour agency to put together an amazing trip to Montenegro, Montours is it.

Montenegro was amazing, thanks to Aleksandar and Montours. It’s a beautiful country with a strong culture and heritage. We made a 10 days trip in Montenegro and took several excursions like Boka bay tour, Skadar Lake, River Crnojevica and Gastronomic & Wine tasting tour. It was each time a pleasure for us, full of experiences. Merci !

Thanks to Aleksandar we spent a wonderful time in Montenegro. He took us around with his different tours and we got a good overview of this beautiful country, we discovered the dark mountains, the coast, the history and traditions. He also took us outside of the usual tracks and was eager to make us see the real Montenegro. And he knows the best view points for pictures! Aleksandar shared his culture with us and we learned to let go and relax while he drove us around. He was caring, open and flexible, an excellent driver and he made sure we were always hydrated, cafeinated and well fed!
